Oh what a night! It started with every girls dilemma of what to put on the feet. I possess very few shoes – flip flops, sheepskin boots, blunnies, trainers, wellies and an old pair of (broken!) heels. I would have loved to wear my favoured wellies, but alas my daughter said “no way!” and found me a suitable pair from the fancy dress box. No joke!
The evening began with a champagne reception for which Will and I were late as usual (we do seem to rush everywhere these days) and was followed by an amazing 3-course dinner and dancing. The awards ceremony itself was very exciting with lots of incredibly inspiring finalists all hailing from Sussex.
I was delighted to present the award for Best Family Dining and the winner was……..The Loft at Sparks Yard in Arundel. Huge congratulations to Holly and Andy and to the three finalists that made my judging so difficult this year! Congratulations to you all.

Hey Lucy Locket, you must go to The Loft! It’s a really great little place for a bite to eat and they do an awesome pomegranate g&t! Ask for a table by the windows and enjoy the gorgeous view! Have fun. Kate.
